At Royal Restrooms, we reevaluated our cleaning standards and procedures to ensure we were as safe as we possibly could be. Where needed we stepped up our efforts and we will continue these enhanced procedures long after the COVID-19 threat has passed. We wanted to share what we are doing to be responsible in order to protect our customers, as well as, our employees during this time uncertainty. This facility was inspected and, upon delivery, deemed to be in substantial compliance with the CDC sanitation guidelines protocol.
When our restrooms and shower trailers are delivered, they meet stringent sanitation guidelines. They have been cleaned in compliance with the CDC sanitation protocol and are ready for our guests to use with complete confidence.
We promise that our technicians have completed the highest level of training and have implemented disinfection to the highest standard to ensure a 99% germ-free environment.
For all deliveries, pickups, and services performed on-site, we are incorporating the recommended social distancing measures and preventative actions including but not limited to gloves and other recommended containment standards.
As a pioneer in the restroom trailer industry, we are proud to have been proactive in our sanitation efforts, having been more vigilant with our already enhanced steps with more fastidious processes for our staff to follow. These will ensure the cleanliness of their work environment and our offices. Our staff has increased its equipment handling protocol with cleaning and disinfecting to match and exceed that of the CDC and governing agencies.

What could go wrong with this scenario: A family festival in a park; a dad and his potty-training daughter and an infant on his hip; a trip to the porta potty with no lights, no toilet paper, no running water, no soap, and no room for the threesome?
The scenario is a real incident experienced by David Sauers, Jr. and his two young children. So what could go wrong? Everything, and it did, leaving dad and daughter soiled and the infant in the arms of a stranger. Their day at the festival was done.

Savannah, GA – December 6, 2013 – With the recent passing of Thanksgiving and World Toilet Day, we were reminded to be thankful for all good things, especially our toilets. Without the invention of the flush toilet, there would be no luxury portable bathroom, no Royal Restrooms, and oh, what a dismal world it would be.
In honor of the toilet and its famous sidekick toilet paper, we collected a few historical, or hysterical, fun facts for your reading enjoyment and portable restroom education.
- British nobleman Sir John Harrington is credited with inventing the first flush toilet in 1596. His name
is thought to be the origin of the slang term “john,” a popular name for the toilet. A Royal Restroom wouldn’t be the same without the flush toilet, aka “throne.”
- The Chinese are credited with inventing toilet paper in 1391 during the reign of the Hongwu emperor. Each sheet measured 2 feet by 3 feet, indicating that His Highness must have greatly valued a clean hiney. Every Royal Restroom is stocked with premium paper products, emperor-approved.
- The first toilet in the White House was installed in 1825 during the presidency of John Quincy Adams. At that time only the wealthy could afford indoor toilets. Up until the last decade, the same held true for luxury restroom trailer rentals, which would run into the thousands of dollars per rental. Royal Restrooms revolutionized the industry and made bathroom trailer rentals affordable for everyone.
- All living U.S. Presidents have had the fortunate opportunity to experience a Royal Restroom. November 19, 2013 – Yep, it’s true. Google it. Today is indeed World Toilet Day. Greetings from the throne, the loo, the potty, the john, or whatever your preferred name is for the wonderful toilet! Toilets are our business, so of course, we love them and you should too. Without them, we would be like the 2.5 billion people on the planet who lack access to basic sanitation.
World Toilet Day, officially named by the UN General Assembly, was created to draw greater attention to a global sanitation crisis. It hasn’t always been proper to openly discuss the human call of nature. Get over it. World-wide problems associated with the lack of decent sanitation and clean water are astounding and in many cases a matter of life and death.
First World Problem Gives Insight Into Third World Crisis
We can relate to the desperate need to provide decent, basic sanitation service to everyone. As the direct result of a traumatic, germ-ridden porta potty incident involving two young children 11 years ago, the founders of Royal Restrooms dedicated their life’s work to developing a sanitary outdoor restroom alternative. From special events to disaster relief situations, we’ve spent years educating the American public about clean and safe restrooms.
Research in the development of our own sanitary arguments led us to staggering global statistics that deserve awareness among everyone who is fortunate enough to have a simple toilet, clean water, and a bar of soap. This list can barely be called the tip of the iceberg:
- Three things most of the world cannot do: take a hot shower, get clean water from the tap, and flush away yesterday’s dinner.
- In 3 days, the amount of untreated fecal matter in the world would fill the Superdome.
- Lack of sanitation is the world’s leading cause of infection.
- Diarrhea is the second leading cause of death in children under age 5 in the world. It kills more children, around 1.5 million each year, than malaria, AIDS, and measles combined. Diarrhea can be prevented with sanitation and proper hand washing.
- Women and girls are at risk for personal safety and loss of dignity. In many areas, where they must venture out to use the bathroom in the open, females must go in groups because they are tormented by ridicule and risk being kidnapped and/or sexually assaulted.
