Savannah, GA, October 5, 2013 – Royal Restrooms of Savannah partners with the Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society for the 2013 Buddy Walk in beautiful Forsyth Park.
A perfect autumn morning unveiled the 2013 Buddy Walk, administered by the Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society. Organized to raise awareness and funds for programs benefiting families touched by Down Syndrome, the 8th annual event successfully attracted hundreds of supporters. Participants enjoyed a one-mile walk around the park led by Grand Marshalls Paula Deen and Bobby Dean. Families delighted in festivities that included bounce houses, face painting, games, music by His Radio, refreshments, and rides on the “Buddy Train.”
The Buddy Walk was proudly served once again by Royal Restrooms of Savannah with a three-stall portable restroom trailer as well as an ADA-compliant restroom trailer. Many thanks to all the supporters who made the 2013 Buddy Walk a success and to LDSS for including Royal Restrooms in this amazing event.

Festive Christmas music and Santa’s lighting of millions of dazzling lights made it emphatically clear that the Christmas Season is officially here and so commenced the Savannah Harbor Festival of Lights celebration. The Savannah Harbor Foundation kicked off its holiday series on November 23, presenting a splendid main attraction, a wonderland walking/driving tour of over 50 lighted, larger than life, interactive holiday displays along the Grand Prize of America Track on Hutchinson Island.
The line up of enticing festivities comprise lively music concerts, boat parade of lights, southern trolly tours, holiday refreshments, live nativity, exotic animals, and for adults, a sampling of nearly 100 craft beers and whiskey at the 1st Annual Whiskey Barrel. The finale event of the season is the 2nd Annual Alive in Savannah, a four day, family-friendly New Years event including endurance competitions, obstacle courses, inflatables, kid’s carnival, and of course, brilliant fireworks over the Savannah River.
When it’s time for a bathroom break throughout the Festival of Lights activities, look for clean, warm, and lighted Royal Restroom trailers on site. Our Three-Stall Restrooms are private and spacious enough to assist young children comfortably, while use of the Ten-Stall Restroom will reduce your wait time in line to quickly get you back to the holiday festivities.
What makes attending the festival more delightful? Proceeds benefit at-risk and disadvantaged youth, homeless and needy families through the following organizations: Greenbriar Children’s Center, Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society, Performance Initiatives, Savannah Harbor Foundation, All Walks of Life, Inc. (AWOL), Lighthouse Ministry, The Interfaith Hospitality Network, and Bethesda Academy.
Please join us at the Festival of Lights and celebrate this Christmas and New Year with real purpose!
