October 11, 2016, Savannah, Georgia - Royal Restrooms has responded to all types of disasters in its 12 years of nationwide service: floods, tornadoes, industrial accidents, to name a few. Hurricane Matthew's approach made it clear that this time would be different.

Matthew Approaches

The staff of Royal Restrooms' nationwide headquarters in Savannah went into full preparation mode as Hurricane Matthew traveled up the east coast. Essential logistics personnel strategically secured the trailer fleet and hunkered down to prepare for emergency response in the affected areas. Office staff packed up and moved to a temporary space 200 miles inland where power and internet connectivity were unaffected.

Royal Restrooms Disaster Response

Due to diligent preparation, the restroom and shower trailer fleet sustained no loss or damage and were ready for deployment. By the time the storm hit Savannah with high winds and rain, the mobile office was already fielding calls. Local, state, and federal government response agencies, businesses and personal customers flooded lines with requests for mobile showers and restroom trailers. Royal Restrooms' corporate office never went offline during the storm.

Royal Restrooms delivered results along the east coast by mobilizing assets from multiple locations. The team dispatched portable showers and restroom trailers to relief shelters, emergency response command centers, fire stations, and anywhere else needed. Royal Restrooms continues to supply thousands of people with sanitary restroom and shower facilities, a welcome comfort especially relevant for people in areas where power may not be restored for days or weeks.

Disaster Response a Team Effort

Royal Restrooms extends a special thank-you to all emergency response personnel that risked life and limb to keep our coastal communities safe, Royal Restrooms of the Carolinas, Royal Restrooms of Florida, and to the Royal Restrooms national emergency response crew that braved the storm to help relief efforts.

Use Sense and Sensibility to Choose the Right Mobile Restrooms

Whether hosting a one-day special event or undergoing a long term business remodel and in need of temporary restroom facilities, one of the first questions to ask is, “What restroom solution makes the most sense for your purpose?” The answer is typically determined by criteria such as budget and event type, size and duration, no doubt the most sensible aspects of the decision. However, we recommend giving much consideration to a critical point that many people overlook, and that is being sensitive to your guests’ comfort and basic needs and those of individuals with disabilities.

Providing clean, sanitary, fully functioning and climate controlled restroom facilities will go Ten Stall Interiora long way in adding value to your event by making your guests more comfortable and, in many cases, attracting them to stay longer on site. In the days before the existence of Royal Restrooms, we left early from festivals and other special events simply because there were no restroom facilities suitable for ourselves and especially our young children. We didn’t return, and neither did our pocketbooks. In fact, this very problem gave birth to the Royal Restroom idea, which revolutionized the portable restroom industry.

When you choose a Royal Restroom, you have already shown that you are being sensitive to your guests’ basic needs and that you care enough to provide them with the best restroom facilities available. Now back to answering the initial (and revised) question, “What Royal Restroom solution makes the most sense for your purpose?” Royal Restrooms representatives are experts in event planning when it comes to matching your requirements to the best temporary restroom solution. They can easily answer your questions, suggest points of interest you may not have previously considered, and ultimately help you decide on the restrooms that will add value to your event and your guests’ overall lasting impression. ADA Plus 10 Stall at Castillo de San Marcos

For the next few months while the bathrooms are being renovated at the Castillo de San Marcos historical fort and national monument in St. Augustine, Florida, tourists will enjoy the comfortable amenities in a Ten-Stall Royal Restroom and an ADA Royal Restroom that meets the needs of individuals with disabilities. This scenario is a prime example of applying both sense and sensibility to the temporary restroom decision. The Royal Restrooms used in this case are an ideal match for the fascinating landmark that attracts thousands of visitors on a regular basis. The restroom trailers themselves are attractive so as not to detract from the distinctive and unique presence of the fort, and the restroom interiors offer tourists the comforts of home while they are away from home.
